My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were clean but had a slightly dated feel, and there were some small black ants present. However, the room was ready upon my arrival. The smoky smell was a downside. The service, on the other hand, was outstanding. The staff across various departments, from front desk agents to shuttle drivers, were professional and friendly. When it comes to the location, it was great for getting to my venue and convenient for visiting DC. The property is on par with other HIE locations we've stayed at. In terms of dining, the food was typical of Holiday Inn Express standards, but the breakfast was appreciable despite some limitations. Facilities were generally good, and the price seemed fair for the value offered.
